After Lockdown : A Doll’s Eye Theatre Podcast

Doll’s Eye invite you to write it out, see the words on your page, hear them spoken aloud and let them live. Creativity can help us though.

In 2020, allow words to carry you.

Write something.

• Title: After Lockdown.

• No more than 400 words.

• Write the text for one actor to speak aloud.

• Any style : Poetry, speech, prose, journal.

• Send it to us - amydollseye@gmail.com.

• We will pair selected works to be performed as radio monologues, by professional actors reflecting experiences during the UK lockdown period.

• The works will be posted online. You don’t have to give your real name if you prefer to be anonymous.

• Submit by 9pm Sunday 21st June (please note this is for the second “wave” of recordings- we hope there will be more deadlines for waves of submissions to follow)

• You can listen to other episodes of After Lockdown on Spotify for a flavour of the podcast.

You do not have to be a professional writer.

We want to hear real stories of now, real feelings - fears, joys and the things you need to keep in your memory from this time.

Pick up a pen. We’ll steady the paper.
